Nu este vorba aici de prestigiul atribuit protocolar unei suverane, ci de o prezen\u021b\u0103 activ\u0103 \u00een via\u021ba cultural\u0103, artistic\u0103 \u0219i moral\u0103 a na\u021biunii rom\u00e2ne, \u00eentr-un moment de r\u0103scruce al istoriei noastre. Imaginea Reginei Maria se a\u0219az\u0103 \u00eentr-un registru dublu \u2013 \u00eentre veracitatea unei influen\u021be decisive \u0219i mitul unei sensibilit\u0103\u021bi alese, rafinate \u0219i profunde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nu este lipsit de semnifica\u021bie faptul c\u0103 \u00eens\u0103\u0219i Regina a l\u0103sat posterit\u0103\u021bii o m\u0103rturie ampl\u0103 despre propria via\u021b\u0103, sub forma monumentalei lucr\u0103ri <em>Povestea vie\u021bii mele<\/em>, o trilogie care transcende caracterul documentar \u0219i dob\u00e2nde\u0219te adeseori inflexiuni literare autentice. Scrise cu o grij\u0103 stilistic\u0103 evident\u0103, aceste pagini tr\u0103deaz\u0103 nu doar un sim\u021b al nara\u021biunii \u0219i al reflec\u021biei, ci mai ales o con\u0219tiin\u021b\u0103 acut\u0103 a misiunii care i-a fost \u00eencredin\u021bat\u0103.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dar, mai \u00eenainte de orice alt\u0103 considera\u021bie, se cuvine a sublinia rolul de ocrotitoare a artelor, pe care Regina Maria l-a asumat cu o distinc\u021bie fireasc\u0103. Re\u0219edin\u021ba de la Balcic a devenit, sub patronajul reginei, un spa\u021biu predilect al reveriei \u0219i contempla\u021biei. Acolo, \u00eentre ziduri albe \u0219i gr\u0103dini suspendate, \u00eentre minaretul decorativ \u0219i pergolele pline de flori, au g\u0103sit ad\u0103post \u0219i inspira\u021bie pictori afla\u021bi \u00een pragul consacr\u0103rii. Iosif Iser, cu expresionismul s\u0103u sobru, ori Lucian Grigorescu se num\u0103r\u0103 printre cei care, atra\u0219i de mirajul Balcicului, au \u0219tiut s\u0103-i redea culoarea \u00een registre care \u021bin azi de canonul vizual al Rom\u00e2niei interbelice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00centre cei care au sim\u021bit aceast\u0103 vibra\u021bie a locului s-a num\u0103rat \u0219i poetul Ion Pillat. \u00cen volumul <em>Balcic<\/em>, alc\u0103tuit din peste dou\u0103zeci \u0219i cinci de medita\u021bii lirice asupra unei geometrii sacre a lumii, autorul \u00eenf\u0103\u021bi\u0219eaz\u0103, cu o fine\u021be care aminte\u0219te de miniatura oriental\u0103, multitudinea de fa\u021bete ale acestui col\u021b de lume \u2014 c\u00e2nd rustic, c\u00e2nd hieratic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00cen Balcic, Pillat reg\u0103se\u0219te acea \u201eluntre evanghelic\u0103\u201d, din care, odinioar\u0103, apostolii au aruncat mreaja cea mare \u201epe apele sfin\u021bite \u00een vremea lui Irod\u201d. Luntrea, \u00een general un obiect marin, relicv\u0103 transpus\u0103 \u00een peisaj, devine o emblem\u0103 a credin\u021bei care supravie\u021buie\u0219te vremurilor. Balcicul o p\u0103streaz\u0103 ca simbol \u2014 \u0219i o \u00eencadreaz\u0103 \u00eentr-o picturalitate a sacrului.:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201eDin luntrea asta veche culcat\u0103 peste plaj\u0103,<br>De care-ai prins la soare, pescare, un n\u0103vod,<br>Apostolii odat\u0103 zv\u00e2rlir\u0103 larg\u0103 mreaj\u0103<br>Pe apele sfin\u021bite \u00een vremea lui Irod.<br><br>\u0218i sub smochinul \u0103sta b\u0103tr\u00e2n ca amintirea,<br>Sub care stai de paz\u0103, p\u00e2ndar cu cap de sf\u00e2nt,<br>Gr\u0103ia Galileanul, cum spune povestirea,<br>C\u00e2nd pilduia Scriptura cea bun\u0103 pe p\u0103m\u00e2nt.<br><br>\u0218i pe asinul \u0103sta pe care, gr\u0103dinare,<br>\u021ai-aduci la t\u00e2rg harbujii \u0219i poama azi ca ieri,<br>Venea M\u00e2ntuitorul a\u0219a \u00eencet, c\u0103lare,<br>Pe drumuri \u00eenverzite cu foi de palmieri\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(<em>Balcic biblic<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De\u0219i numele suveranei nu apare explicit \u00een volumul lui Ion Pillat, o lectur\u0103 atent\u0103 relev\u0103, \u00een filigranul versurilor, o recuno\u0219tin\u021b\u0103 latent\u0103, manifestat\u0103 printr-un ethos al t\u0103cerii meditative. Regina Maria a instituit culturii rom\u00e2ne\u0219ti un locus sanctus de reflec\u021bie. Balcicul devine, astfel, un topos liric \u0219i un simbol al generozit\u0103\u021bii regale \u2014 un spa\u021biu oferit artei dintr-un patriotism luminat, izvor\u00e2t dintr-o grij\u0103 deosebit\u0103 pentru spiritualitatea rom\u00e2neasc\u0103.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Imaginea Reginei Maria se p\u0103streaz\u0103 \u00een literatura rom\u00e2n\u0103 nu printr-un exces de glorificare, ci printr-un echilibru subtil \u00eentre evocare \u0219i admira\u021bie. \u00centr-o perioad\u0103 a convulsiilor, ea a oferit un model de armonie. \u00centr-o cultur\u0103 \u00een c\u0103utare de sine, ea a deschis drumuri.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00centr-o compozi\u021bie liric\u0103 ap\u0103rut\u0103 \u00een presa vremii, poetul Georgian alege s\u0103 \u00eenv\u0103luie chipul reginei \u00eentr-o aur\u0103 mitologic\u0103. Aceast\u0103 transfigurare poetic\u0103 nu se limiteaz\u0103 la elogiul ocazional, ci aspir\u0103, prin filtrul unei culturi clasice bine asimilate, s\u0103 fixeze o imagine care dep\u0103\u0219e\u0219te circumstan\u021ba istoric\u0103. Regina devine, astfel, un palimpsest al vechilor zei\u021be protectoare \u2014 Hera, Atena, poate chiar Demetra \u2014 , un simbol al unei civiliza\u021bii \u00eentemeiate pe echilibru, splendoare \u0219i demnitate. Poemul lui Georgian: \u201e\u00cen p\u0103rul t\u0103u albit de spini \/ Sclipesc argin\u021bii de coroane \/ Regina cu ochi blajini, \/ Regin\u0103 de g\u00e2nd \u0219i icoane\u2026\u201d nu este, prin urmare, simplu encomion, ci o \u00eencercare de resacralizare a ideii de suveranitate, \u00eentr-o epoc\u0103 \u00een care imaginarul colectiv resim\u021bea nevoia unor repere \u00eenalte. \u00cen aceast\u0103 cheie, gestul poetului cap\u0103t\u0103 o dimensiune cultural\u0103: aceea de a reinstitui, prin mijloacele artei, un ethos al verticalit\u0103\u021bii \u0219i al exemplarit\u0103\u021bii.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00centr-o epoc\u0103 a tulbur\u0103rilor \u0219i c\u0103ut\u0103rilor, Regina Maria a oferit un model de echilibru \u0219i rafinament. \u00cen atitudinea ei pentru cultur\u0103, \u00een discre\u021bia cu care a \u0219tiut s\u0103 fie prezent\u0103 f\u0103r\u0103 a se impune, se afl\u0103 o lec\u021bie de civilitate care \u00eenc\u0103 ne prive\u0219te. Poe\u021bii \u0219i arti\u0219tii nu s-au gr\u0103bit s\u0103-i dedice ode facile, ci au preferat s\u0103 o a\u0219eze \u00een sfera simbolului \u2014 acolo unde for\u021bele istoriei se topesc \u00een mit, iar realitatea se transfigureaz\u0103 \u00een ideal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">S-ar putea crede, cu o u\u0219urin\u021b\u0103 prea lesne explicabil\u0103, c\u0103 Regina Maria, aleg\u00e2nd Balcicul drept loc al retragerii \u2014 acolo unde, prin voin\u021b\u0103 testamentar\u0103, a cerut s\u0103-i fie ad\u0103postit\u0103 inima \u2014, nu f\u0103cea altceva dec\u00e2t s\u0103 urmeze, \u00een registru afectiv, modelul l\u0103sat de Carmen Sylva. O asemenea aproxima\u021bie ar nedrept\u0103\u021bi grav complexitatea unei personalit\u0103\u021bi care a refuzat s\u0103 se lase definit\u0103 printr-o singur\u0103 tr\u0103s\u0103tur\u0103 dominant\u0103. Regina Maria a fost o adev\u0103rat\u0103 \u00eentreprinz\u0103toare pe multiple planuri: politice, culturale, na\u021bionale. A\u0219a cum, la \u00eencheierea Primului R\u0103zboi Mondial, \u0219i-a asumat un rol diplomatic de o subtilitate \u0219i o tenacitate rar \u00eent\u00e2lnite \u2014 contribuind, printr-o form\u0103 de activism regal luminat, la realizarea Marii Uniri \u2014, tot astfel a \u00een\u021beles s\u0103 sprijine cultura rom\u00e2n\u0103 nu din vanitate, ci dintr-un sim\u021b profund al datoriei fa\u021b\u0103 de o civiliza\u021bie emergent\u0103.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sprijinul oferit de Regina Maria culturii rom\u00e2ne nu poate fi redus la simpla diriguire a unor manifest\u0103ri artistice ori la protejarea unui cerc de creatori. Era, mai cur\u00e2nd, expresia unei voca\u021bii organice pentru civiliza\u021bie, pentru tot ceea ce \u00eenal\u021b\u0103 omul dincolo de urgen\u021bele istoriei.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Balcicul este \u0219i o alegorie a unui ideal cultural: acela al unei Rom\u00e2nii aflate la confluen\u021ba Orientului \u0219i Occidentului, \u00eenzestrat\u0103 cu harul sintezei \u0219i al ospitalit\u0103\u021bii.
